How well does the Atom processor compare to these other processors. If I were to buy an Asus EEEPC 1000, could it run programs like Adobe Photoshop CS? or CS4?

in my opinion, from fastest to slowest performer
dual core > atom > celeron

correction gamay bro, (pentium)dual core>celeron>atom. atom is one of the slowest processors of this generation.

yes, you can run it. the question is, "can you run it well?". my pentium dual core runs photoshop cs3, but it experiences slowdowns in rendering high quality images and while applying most effects on high quality images. Originally Posted by chadbuenaflor

Ahhh... i see. so if I were to buy a laptop with a budget of Php30,000.. what laptop would you guys suggest? I need one that would do good in running photoshop.
