Default Anyone with start up business experience or business administration background, please help answer my questions!

First of all, thank you in advance sa mga makatabang ug tubag sa ako pangutana.

Nag-plano ko mag-start ug sarili nako nga business. Gamay ra siya na business, something you can do on the side. Naka-ask na ko about sa permits and ingon na mas barato daw siya kung ako mismo ang mulihok sa papers. In addition, gamay ra daw siya ug tax if gamay ra ang capital, which is good for me kay gamay ra man sab ko ug capital (later na ni nako problemahon ang tax though, if stable na ang business and magkuha na jud ko ug permits).

Ni-agree siya mu-fund 100% (technically, 91%, with the 1% from my own pocket) but nag-ask siya pila daw iya mahimong bahin. Better ba quarterly or annually? Unsay dapat nako huna-hunaon when it comes sa profit sharing?

    Salamat kaayo mga ka-istoryans!

Sakto jud na ang question ni Boss @groogie75 Maam, you need to give people here an idea kung usa nga nga klase sa negosyo.

But since "angel investor" man ang term nimo niya, I'll take it as a tech start-up (dunno if im correct though).
So, most often, kung ingon-ani nga case, more or less 50/50 ang sharing ninyo sa profit & ownership.

Kung lahi na nga type, akong generic nga suggestion is you should take salary and divide the free net profits equally.
So nahulog nga 50/50 gihapon mo, pero ikaw, naa pa jud sweldo.

    Goodluck.

sorry, wrong term diay ang "angel investor", if that is the case. thanks for the heads up ana! if 50/50, are you suggesting na himuon sab ug owner ang investor? maski na wala jud siya explicitly ni-ingon nga gusto siya mag-owner and she only knows nga mag-invest ra siya ug money?

Kung souvenirs/gifts ang imo biznez, i dont think you need a lot of capital for that to start. Kay mag-down man gud na ang mo-order, right? 50% or 25% or whichever you'd require. And if you are starting this at home (i assume you are), this biznez runs on free labor, right? Been to this one and i know how "my" mark-ups are.

♦ You can operate this at home, so free ang rent.

♦ Mahulog og free ang labor

♦ Ma-free pod ang bulk of the overhead

♦ Main capital for this biznez is your creativity & ingenuity - which is also free!

♦ And being creative, you can use scraps for your materials.
    - - - Buy paper products from paper companies, not famous bookstores unless it's necessary
    - - - Buy scrap wood from furniture companies
    - - - Buy small bottles from junction shops
    - - - Collect sea shells, sea glass from the beach

♦ FB, instagram, OLX, iStorya, twitter, etc plus your products pictures via your smartphone.. are free. That's free online marketing expenses.

Admin expenses can be carried with other personal purposes

Based on my personal experience, this runs on 60% gross profit (at least) based on cost of materials, labor and overhead. IF you have free labor and almost free overhead, you can see how much capital you need to manufacture your products. It's mostly on the raw materials only.

If ang imong order arrangement is with a downpayment - be it 50% (the best) or 30% or 25% , you can still run the manufacturing without taking-in an investor. 50% downpayment is the best! Kanang 25% is ok lang gihapon to run the production.

So... why would you need an investor for this?

I assume naa na kay computer, printer, and smartphone with camera (main investments).

If mag-rent ka'g commercial stall or space for this, aw kana, daku na jud ka'g cost ana.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck.

In business parlance, you are called the "industrial partner/investor" while your aunt is the financial investor.

You may ask your aunt to pay her on a per project basis.

Mas maganda kung sayo talaga ung capital. Anyway aunt mo naman yan so I think madali kayong magkakasundo sa terms.
By the way baka gusto mo i-try ang food supplement business, yung sarili mong brand ng food supplement, coffee mix or powdered juices. This company could manufacture products for you and help you from the start.
