Default Hardware or Driver/Software problem? please help....

Ok this is my 2nd post...about my ASUS K42F laptop problem it has intermittent cracking/distorted sound when playing mp3 from hard drive, optical(cd/dvd), usb, audio/video streaming like youtube etc...still occurs. Just split seconds and resume back to normal after the distorted sound....mao ga libog ko niya. This laptop comes w/o OS btw.

Ok here's what I did already.

    - Update to the latest/old HD Realtek Driver/code still no luck.
    - Reformat the windows 7 from X86 to X64 still no luck...
    - Disable Windows 7 enhancement for audio still no luck.
    - Install the driver of REALTEK with the latest one w/o the SRS Premium software addons no luck..

Currently working on it as my last resort.

    - Reformat it using WINXP before I found no cracking issues but still have observe kay kadyot rako nag use ato na OS.
    - Reformat it using WHQL Generic Windows 7 driver only (I still have to monitor/observe it)

    - Right now it has dual boot using WIN7 x64 and UBUNTU...Currently using UBUNTU and has been tested for couple of hours and fortunately it works great the AUDIO/VIDEO is clear no cracking issues whatsoever for now...so far so good but still have to observe it for a while.

Need your opinion kinsa naka naka sugat ani na issues...I would not say or conclude for now that this is hardware issue coz it works perfectly w/o BLUESCREEN, CRASHES etc...but aside the Intermittent Distorted AUDIO MP3/VIDEOS in WINDOWS 7 only.

I will update this thread until this will be solved ELSE I will return this to the store TECHEAD SM since this laptop still have store and manufacturer's warranty I will return it once I proved if this is hardware related issues.

Your opinion is greatly appreciated. Thank you...

windows 7 +cracking sound is a known problem without a real solution. kung maigo ka ana na blema theres a big possibility u will go tru all the troubleshooting stuffs and still the problem wont go away. mine(a desktop) has the same cracking sound on win7 nya naulian ra when there was an updated driver for the built-in LAN.

@werty: Exactly sir medyo nakasabot najud ko sa issue kundi mismo ang OS na Windows 7 but I want to really know what are the causes. Btw sir ask ko why man related ang built-in LAN sa distorted audio sir? kay in my case no matter how I updated it the problem occurs. Thinking in Vista is the worst OS in the world pero my laptop wala nag problema using it. That's why I wonder...dismaya ko kaayo sa Windows 7 sir hasol kaayo.

Can you tell me honestly in your own opinion if this is purely driver conflict issues and has nothing to do with the hardware? let me know sir thanks...

how bout a BIOS update bro? Maybe that helps. I had issues with my MSI board using a dedicated soundcard. I updated the BIOS and the problem was gone.

@P0w3rM0v3: Gikan napud gi update ang BIOS sir still no luck. Actually this has been getting worst since I updated from the original bios but do you think thats the cause? I had encounter this before pag first use palang ani but not that frequent and I thought it was not factory defect. I wonder why ni grabe coz nag updgrade pud kog RAM from 2GB to 2 X 2GB.

try to disable devices one-by-one until you find what causes the problem. sa ingon ani na case, daku ang chance na ang lancard or ang wifi ang mag cause ug problems-based on some having d same sound issue. try to disable one at a time daw in bios if possible...

@werty: Mmmmm ako gi try before ug DPC latency checker sir then if ako i disable ang wireless niya as in ang adapter jud not from the device manager wala koy makita na RED horizontal bars pero if ako gani i enable ang wireless mahitabo daghan kaayong RED horizontal bars...so meaning pwede kaayo pasanginlan ang issue tungod sa wireless driver unsa bah.

Ako nana gi tuman ang sulti sa DPC latency checker same thing paman gihapon mo occur gihapon ang distorted issue pag test nako before.

Currently sa pag post nako karon naka UBUNTU ko then I'm having no problems almost a day na wala koy distorted audio mp3/videos madunggan...very smooth and crystal clear kaayo akong madunggan gani...

Btw sir @WERTY: wala rabay options sa BIOS ma disable ang wireless so far as I checked. Even gani LAN di nako makita didto.

I want to resolve the issue sa WINDOWS 7 mode ko later try nako balik ug disable ug tuman inyong suggestion. I will update you all.

    Thanks
