Default Top 10 albums of all time....

When i say album i mean the real deal ok. An album is different from a single, a single is just a track from an album to advertise the artist and the album itself. The list you'll make later on following mine should be either owned by you or you have heard the entire album, not just a certain song but the whole album.

    1. Third Eye Blind- Third Eye Blind
"Cause i felt you long after we were through...."
    Track 12: The Background

    http://youtube.com/watch?v=jngwtxj27vA

    - Not only is this my number one album but i consider this to be one of the greatest of all time because of the albums ability to capture human emotion. The raw details of every song and the riffs of the guitar not only makes this album catchy but it also gives you a fun time in listening to rock music.

    2. Third Eye Blind- Blue
" I've lost myself theres nothing left, its all gone, deep inside of you..."
Track 5: Deep Inside Of You

    http://youtube.com/watch?v=-6CstbTddak

    - One of the most under rated albums of the previous decade, i consider this to be a very fine work coming from this band. On their sophomore album they rock harder and give us edgier songs than before. Not only is it catchy which happens to be their trademark but every song is camouflaged to conceal the dark sides. From the rape song "wounded" to the *** crazy "1000 julys" every song delivers a good sound both instrumentally and lyrically. Stephan is a master!

    3. Third Eye Blind- Out of The Vein
" Freud said that love was a good phychosis but i dont know i've had too many doses...."
    Track 10: Palm Reader

    - This time they come out with less edge but still they rock hard. The riffs are gone but the catchy tunes are still there. The thing that i dont like much about this album is that almost all the songs focus on one topic. Its like listening to the goo goo dolls, they make good music but most of their songs are driven by one topic alone. Heartbreak and separation. Its not that that isnt a good topic but come on guys, your better than that!

    4. Beatles- "1"
" Love, love me do, you know i love you...."
    Track 1: Love me do

    http://youtube.com/watch?v=ouzndIEbEsc

    - This is a must have! Plain and simple. It dont matter whether your a rock fan, country fan, hip-hop fan etc. You just gotta have a beatles rocord! Their so important that your not allowed to die unless you have heard a beatles record. And it dont matter what album because not only are they legends but all muscial artists from every genre has been affected or inspired in one way or another by the beatles. i highly recommend you get yourself "one" today!

    5. Green Day- American Idiot
" Im the son of rage and love, the jesus of suburbia the bible of none of the above..."
    Track 2: Jesus of Suburbia

    http://youtube.com/watch?v=YaJHY08Ved4

    - Finally! Finally! Finally! Someone has made an album that is worth listening to! This is the album of the 2000's! Im sorry to tell everyone but 60's-90's has been a great 3 decades for music. Specially the late 80's to 90's but for the 2000's it sucks! No album since the 2000's has been this great! (except maybe for coldpaly albums which really is nothing compared to american idiot). The thing about green day is that when you say heavy metal you get different replies as to who is "the god", you get metallica, led zep or judas priest, same too for other genres. But when you say punk you only get one band...GREEN DAY! And its true, they are the shit! This album is the album of our generation! (for everone born in the late 80's this is our album) They are the only band that has made us aware of the things happening around us today! (war in iraq, poverty in africa and above all the plea to send back our boys home from war!) They gave a voice and the power for people to speak their hearts out. This album is a monumental album and will stand the test of time. One of my most recommended albums to buy......BIG TIME!

    6. Nirvana- Nevermind
" Im so lonely thats ok i've shaved my head and im not sad..."
    Track 5: Lithium

    http://youtube.com/watch?v=sUUHNf0S5cA

    - If American Idiot was the album of the early to late decade of the 2000's then Nirvanas Nevermind is the album of the 90's. A lot of albums come out every year from different artists but one, just one will stand out to represent a certain generation at a certain period of time. There is only one album that people will say, "that is ours, that is the time when we were still kids, those were the days." What made this a monumental album is that Nirvana started a revolution, like what the beatles did for pop music Nirvana made rock famous. It made rock the music of the 90's. They set the bar so high that no one i think in the next million years will be able to surpass what they have done. (Foo Fighters dont come even that close to Nirvana.)

    7. Metallica- The Balck Album
" Say your prayers little one dont forget my son to include everyone...."
    Track 1: Enter Sandman

    http://youtube.com/watch?v=jRYDetbwegs

    - Come on man, you can't talk about albums and not include metallica in it. Its just not possible to get them off the list! This is a definite must have! Why? Because like Led Zep they made heavy metal as a light tune for everyone. You could just sit and listen to it without having to worry about disturbing your neighbors. They gave a new perspective that heavy metal is not just about rocking hard but its also about making it light and still rocking at the same time. (Take a good listen at Nothing Else Matters)

    8. Smashing Pumpkins- Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness
" Believe in me as i believe in you...."
    Track 2: Tonight, Tonight

    http://youtube.com/watch?v=EsZYqaSc4cU

    - The best double disc album that i have ever heard. (Besides The beatles WHITE ALBUM) Evry song is connected with each other. Its like reading a book but instead your listening to it. The concept of life and death is truly captured in this album. Its like watching a movie and your seeing every event unfold but again instead of seeing your listening to it. Its a long listen, more or less 2 hours so i suggest you take a break before taking on part 2 of the epic two disc album.

    9. Led Zeppelin- The untitled album
" And she's buying a stairway to heaven..."

    http://youtube.com/watch?v=yaQCirSxn...elated&search=

    - An album that i only heard on vinyl. Yup its that old! This for me is also a must have not only because its from led zep but also because its a landmark album specially on the song "Stairway to Heaven". Of all the led zep songs out there this has got to be the most famous among them all. If your a rock fan then like the beatles you gotta have one. Too bad i cant find this album as of now because its a freaking collectors item! arrggghhhhhhh!!!

    10. Alanis Morrissette- Jagged Little Pill
" Its like 10 000 spoons when all you need is a knife, its meeting the man of your dreams and his beautiful wife!"
    Track 10: Ironic

    http://youtube.com/watch?v=8v9yUVgrmPY

    - Avril wont be famous if it wasnt for this lady right here. Heck even trying hard punk rocker "daw"/ lipsinger Ashlee Simpson wouldnt be famous too if it wasnt for Alanis. Nirvana made Pearl Jam famous, Beatles made Rolling Stones famous, Green Day made Blink 182 famous same goes through for Alanis, she made all this ladies famous because of her breakthrough album. I'll tell you this guy, "records are meant to be broken, pioneers are meant to be surpassed but pioneers can and will never be forgotten." Its because of her efforts thats why women can rock, its because of this album thats why sheryl crow, avril and all those rock chicks and treated equally and with dignity. This is my reason why i consider this a great album! So please dont think that avril rocks, no she doesnt, she rocks because of alanis!

The Top 10 that I can think of rght now (but not in order) - also excluding THE BEST OF and COMPILATIONS

    Teenage Fanclub - Bandwagonesque
Best album of 1991 as per Spin magazine's statement... same year as Nirvana's Nevermind and My Bloody Valentine's Loveless was released.

    Ned's Atomic Dustbin - Godfodder
This album was a mainstay in my dad's car during my last years in the Philippines (along with The PIXIES' Doolittle and THE SUNDAYS' Reading, Writing, and Arithmetic). There was never a day when I wouldn't pop this tape in the tape player.

The Jesus and Mary Chain - Darklands
My older brother is my main musical influence... and JAMC was his. This was our favorite album next to Barbedwire Kisses and Automatic

A Perfect Circle - Mer De Noms
When post-Grunge bands (Creed and the like) plagued the airwaves during the late 90's and Early 2000's and New Metal was creeping in the horizon - Thank God for APC to release such a great album: At least there was something else worth listening to.

    Rush - Power Windows
I've been drumming for over half my life (a good 20 years) and this album got me fired up and inspired me strive and be better at what I do.

    The Charlatans - Some Friendly
First time I heard the track "THEN" from this album, I was hopelessly hooked. I went to their show last year and that was a surreal experience.

The Wild Swans - Bringing Home The Ashes
Don't call yourself a newwaver if you don't have this album in you collection. Copies of these album can be seen in Ebay listed at over $100.

    Radiohead - The Bends
Keane, Muse, Snow Patrol, and Coldplay owes this band big time. Although people might pick OK COMPUTER as their fave Radiohead album, The BENDS will always be mine.

The Smiths - Meat Is Murder
My Favorite album of my favorite band of all time. NUFF SAID!

The Stone Roses - The Stone Roses
Picked up where ECHO AND THE BUNNYMEN, THE SMITHS, and THE JESUS AND MARY CHAIN left off. These were the bands I was listening to when HAIR METAL and SPANDEX ROCK was all over the airwaves. Thank You 80's alternative music for saving me from BON JOVI, POISON, and the NELSON TWINS.
