    Default how secured our server?


    hi nitz wiz. im definitely a net admin but i will be needing some input to our net admin since im also incharge of webserver. i read some descent articles from www.diywebser.com-a very nice place for start and good modz. anyway heres the design i made:

    pls comment (violently) in my design. by the way is there a way to create logs in firewall (thompson 500 series and win xp)

    pls also include the server specs or what server to purchase were planning to use HP machine. the machine will be facilitate web, database, ftp and email server...

    Security sa server: You must open only ports that are necessary to the service,daghan free software nga maka test ani...Sa network: firewall with intrusion detection..para maprevent ang mga denial of service...And kinahanglan naa kay knowledge sa mga security risk and prevention..

    zak: is there a software na mo detect nd i nform ka if naka ncounter ang security DoS?

    what securities measure currently ur using to prevent outside intrusion to server and private net?

    based on ur diagram , better if mag butang ka ug usa ka pc between router and ur server act as internet gateway/firewall sa server/clients. try smoothwall.com .its good for small business.

    pariha diay ta ug gigamit bai, kay smoothwall man sad akong gamit diri, pero sa www.smoothwall.org ra ko kay free man.. as in free.. kay open source code man.. pwede ra nimo usbun..
