Jurassic Park 4 to open on June 13, 2014!

Get ready because Universal Pictures has recently announced that Jurassic Park 4 will open in 3D and is slated for release on June 13, 2014!

No director is attached yet, but Steven Spielberg will return as a producer. Screenwriters Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver (Rise of the Planet of the Apes) have just submitted their first draft of the movie last week.

I saw the original at Leicester Square Odeon back in the day, it was an amazing experience. The sequel didn't follow the novel at all and is one of my least favorite Spielberg films (I heard that he made it to finance Amistad). The third movie was fairly forgettable. Anyway this should be interesting as Jurassic Park had groundbreaking FX in 1993, just imagine what they can do today.

Pero I agree. Jurassic Park did set the bar high in film-making for its awesome FX. But even though it's going to be in 3D, producer Frank Marshall made mention that practical effects are still going to be used because it "resonates better with audiences and helps the actors perform."
