Networking is not bad, people are just doing it the wrong way. Stop annoying your friends to join your business, stop being annoying in every family gathering, stop fooling yourself and others, and please live a life. Network marketing is good business, but let us just help tell the world how it is done. I know that some people here may have discovered these things much early, but I think it doesn't matter. If the website is already shared here before, I am sharing it again, it is a very great compilation of knowledge about this industry, it is worth a thousand share. And, by the way, I am not asking for a fight against anti-networking here, but I am open for a healthy discussion.
1. Network marketing is a legitimate business model - a very efficient & effective system (if not the most) in distribution of products in today's time. Combining the individual's increasing seriousness towards discretionary time and the company's need for cost-efficient distribution methods gave birth to the era of home-based businesses.
2. The network marketing system is proven legal since 1979 at the Federal Trade Commission in the United States, by Amway.
3. Network marketing is not a pyramiding scam, ponzi scam or a get-rich-quick scheme.
4. Network marketing involves retailing and building a customer base. It is not a recruitment scam. If the company do not have a good percentage of real customers (customers outside distributors), I think it is a red flag.
5. Check the Direct Selling Association of the Philippines (DSAP) for trusted companies.
I advice people who are interested to join a network marketing company, to make sure it is a member of DSAP - DSAP is the industry association composed of all the major direct selling and network marketing companies, both local and international, that is promoting fair network marketing practices and also are having the anti-pyramiding campaign to clean up the name of network marketing as well as to protect the consumers from scams and illegal practices. No to Scam!
