Hi,

I have a very n00b question about selling. Let's say you're able to build an interesting computer device that solves a particular problem. What's the first step in selling your product all over the world?

I mean, how did Steve Jobs manage to sell his first 1000 units of Apple computers?

Advertising isn't really simple if you're planning to sell your product globally. I think you need millions or something (unless you've managed to do a viral marketing stunt).

I mean, how do you supply to distributors or something? Is there an efficient way of distributing your product without having to talk to the distributors/retailers/etc one by one? How do you solve the problem of a bad location? The shipping costs alone would raise the prices, causing your product to be uncompetitive.

Thanks for the tips. BTW, I can't patent my ideas due to prior art. Tanan akong product ideas naa nay naka implement (or at least, research).

It is often the case that good ideas have already been implemented; we just have to accept the fact that competition is the way of life, especially in business... evolve or die... Hehehe... =)
