I've been doing some cleanups lately, locking PTC threads and browsing the forums for stray topics.
In two days time I already discovered a handful of techniques which some members were using to sneak past the watchful eyes of moderators and sell or advertise their stuff on the forum.

Most of these techniques were used in the Websites & Multimedia section as well as in the Business & Economics section.
Newbies have found smart ways to inject their advertisements by using misleading thread titles.
Remember that other members patiently earned their Junior ranks just to have the privilege of creating new topics in Buy & Sell.
Others even paid to become Premium / Platinum members.

The purpose of this thread is to encourage other members to report violations by teaching them how to spot sneak attacks.

As of this writing, there are 45,000 registered members in istorya, with an average of 600 people online.
An average of 10 moderators are roaming the boards at any given time.
We may be outnumbered but you cannot outsmart us.

The SASUKE SARUTOBI Technique

Sarutobi (Monkey Jump) was a ninja renowned for his acrobatic abilities. It was said that he lived in the trees with monkeys, and his athletic ability was such that he could dodge the fastest warrior, ducking and jumping around a sword slash. Mura'g abat lisod kaayo dakpon.

Sarutobi can be seen almost anywhere in the boards, jumping from one section to another selling his items. He doesn't care to read the rules, all he wants is to nail down as many transactions in the least possible time. He often uses variations in his thread titles to make it appear as a different item. Bahala'g nasaag ang thread basta makabaligya lang.

To be able to catch Sarutobi, you have to keep in mind Forum Rule #7 which states that No user may advertise any product or service outside of the Buy / Sell / Trade / Classifieds forums.

The MOMOCHI SANDAYU Technique

Sandayu descended from Otomo family in the Iga province. It is said that Iga was controlled by three ninja families; Hattori controlled the middle, Fujibayashi the north, and Momochi the south. Sandayu was soke (head of family) of three ninjutsu schools; Momochi ryu, Gyokko ryu and Koto ryu.

Sandayu is known to be the master of Spam Attack. Ninja nga paligoy-ligoy, kung di ka magbantay iyang butangan ug kuto imong ulo.
SPAM includes unsolicited advertisements, flooding of the boards, inappropriate or illegal content, thread hijacking, and cross-posting of topics.
This fighting style uses very little energy and requires no concentration.
Anybody's thread can be randomly picked and flooded with his poisoned darts.

It's not hard to spot this ninja, anybody who sells or advertises his stuff in somebody else's topic is a spammer and a thread hijacker.

The FUJIBAYASHI NAGATO Technique

Nagato was a ninja jonin active around the same period as Momochi Sandayu. He worked quite a distance away from the main area of Momochi Sandayu's activities (North Iga as opposed to Momochi at the South), and was feared almost as much.

This technique is also called the Maru-maru style in Bisaya.

Compared to Sarutobi, Nagato does not directly sell his items or advertise his services on the first post.

Nagato is often seen in the Business & Economics section.

He uses some sort of biblical parables as sample stories.
As expected, you follow and subscribe to his daily teleserye.

Although there are some who really give non-commercial advise and financial talks, you have to watch out for Nagato.
