    1. is it in a pond or aquarium?
    2. how many fishes having the same symptoms?
    3. was there equipment malfunction. air pump not working. powerhead not working.
    4. overcrowding? sudden drop in o2?
    5. accidental exposure to chemicals?

    you can isolate the koi on a well aerated o2 rich tank. then observe lang.
