we pattern the behavior of our government (with respect to the economy) too much like how the US government behaves, saying one thing and doing another. it's astounding how they can shift to opposite gears so quickly if only to salvage big business, while,in the Philippines for example, most people cannot even ride planes.

they talk too much of "economic liberalization" or the freeing up of government assests to private capital (PAL, MWSS, Petron etc., soon NFA, PAGCOR, PNOC), of "deregulation" or the hands-off policy of the government on how enterprises runs their business ( Oil Industry, Educational System, etc.)

only to run back to the arms of the state if financial troubles arise, arguing that their industries are inimical to the national economy and hence should be salvaged by the government, passing down the debts done carelessy to the pockets of the taxpayers.

    the hypocrisy of neoliberalism.

why should the government take over PAL over this crisis? imo, it's the case of pilots not honoring their contracts. according to PAL, these pilots owe them millions for training them. the pilots are also required to render 180 days notice since their work is "mission critical". not very easy to find qualified personnel and train them for very critical jobs. don't we, regular employees, render at least 2 weeks notice prior to resigning?

Naa pud kaha mabuhat ang gov't ani if i-take over ni? Mura ang root cause ani is piracy man daw since dagko kaayo offer ang uban airline companies mao namalhin ang mga pilots.

benifits that total upto 500k.. then wla pa cla nalingaw sa ilang income?
