for those who even don't know and for those who want to know..
AMD has long offered “Black” editions of many of its popular processors, geared solely for overclockers with their unlocked multiplier. Intel has now embraced the overclocking ways and is said to be launching a “K” version of two popular LGA1156 CPUs
The new processors, labeled the Core i5 665K and Core i7 875K are based on the mid range LGA1156 socket, and much like the Extreme Edition LGA1366 chips, will feature an unlocked BClk multiplier. Despite the numerical model number increase however, the units hold no other basic improvements. The i5 665K is identical to the i5 650, operating at 3.2GHz with 4MB L3cache, integrated graphics and a 73w TDP.
Despite many news sources reporting that the 875K will be a faster processor, we have confirmed that the i7 875K should be identical to the i7 870, operating at 2.93 GHz with 8MB of L3 cache and a 95w TDP.
The CPUs should be launched in Q2 of 2010, and it is unknown whether they will carry a hefty price premium like the Extreme Edition.
