Default PRC: 37,527 new nurses, unemployed or underemployed?

What is your reaction with the current situation of nurses in our country? It seems that some people with entrepreneurial minds take advantage of nursing, merely making it as a profitable business. There is an oversupply of nurses yet lacking quality and competent ones. I am hoping against hope that the government must be serious with this issue and find long term solutions with this problem.

Thats their fault also . Not that because they chose NURSING as a PROFESSION because not just some but a lot of people has the mentality of seeing GREENER PASTURES working abroad specially in the western nations . They are right that it brings moolah indeed but too bad , nurses who are there for the last 10 , 15 , 20 years are the ones next in line . Pwerting taasa pa sa waiting list and these very graduates or should I say who just got license cant just cut in the line .

These nurses though will make the cut unless they have something under their belt some sort of specialization or mastery . It is an edge but not a guarantee .

The government should endorse , focus and promote the profession of NUTRITIONIST and DIETICIANS . Very low supply and very high in demand and nobody seems to notice it . Paycheck ? It makes as much as nurses also by the way depending on the areas of specialization , environment of work and place of duty .

this thread has the same orientation with the others like the ff:

    1. Nurses overrated
    2. Nurses too many of us...

and the list goes on and on...but indeed facts are facts, ug depende na na sa taw unsaon niya pag pangita paagi makalusot para kita opportunity. government nato? ayaw nalang mo pag asa ky sukad pa sa una wa silay gibuhat. wa man gani sila naghuna-huna unsay effect na way tarong regulations sa pag open ug mga nursing depts sa mga schools nga non medical na daan! unya mo komentaryo na gamay ray nakapasar sa board? wat do they expect?

well, kamo nay mag igo unsaon pag panginabuhi sa a nurse sa umaabot na panahon. as far as i know, USA is still in great recession. wa pa katiting na makagawas sa kalisod rong panahuna. gud luck to us all!
