1. detach lens and put it back making sure its reattached firmly and you here the click sound.
or
2. remove battery and clean the contacts and put back
or
3. replace memory card with another one and try
or
4. bring it back to the store where you bought it and have them look at it.
or
5. bring it the Canon Service Center
Does this happen often? NO for both canon and nikon.
never happened to me... I've been playing with my T1i for a month now.
i have 2 canon dslr 450d and 500d but i never experience that issue. probably dbgg is right, reattaching the lens might solve it.![]()
no experience with this error before with my 1000d for 6months.
a friend's experience:
Canon 450D attached with Tamron 28-75 f2.8.
Whe shot at 75mm at f4.0, error 99 occurs. This happens 100% of the time.
You need to turn off the camera so it would function normally again.
Experienced this 1 time. Good thing about Canon is that they have a local service center. I was informed that the problem is often with comminication with the lens (either contacts or a lens problem). For me, it turned out that the card caused the problem. Putting another SD card fixed the problem. The moment I insert my original SD card, error comes up right away.
error 99 in canon is very common and broad, wala ni siyay explanation coz its either lens, card or anything. For 1000D naa mi kauban sa club nga balig duha gyud ka 1000D mag error 99 and ang canon center ga ingon nga a certain shutter count mo gawas gyud na siya then e upgrade ra ang firmware ma wala ra sad.
