i'm planning to buy a new pc. (GAMING)

i just want to ask if we really need high end processor? i mean (ex. quadcores, etc. kanang pinakapaspas)

does it affect the gaming performance?
is it worth it?

palit nalang unta ko cheaper processor then invest on mid-higher video cards.

like e7200 then buy hd3850 video card

btw, student pa man gud ko, nya akong natigum 25k pa man wla apil ang monitor sa 25k kay nana ko

im planning on playing crysis,cod4, etc.


sana stick nalang ta sa topic, wla ko nangayo unsay nindot nga spec
tana lang ko if need ba talaga ang high end/ faster processor

parts.... akong ma bantayan s mga budget concoius gamers kay... they use a the latest but cheap processors but use highend mobo and graphics and etc......
i suggest you stick to investing more money on Memory and Graphics card.... games right now are more graphics intensive vs. AI intensive.... pwerteng BOBO-a sa AI sa crysis.


BTW college pa ka part? i remember my college days nga akong mama and father ni buy sa akong PC.... but karon naaa na koy trabaho... ako nalang nag buy sa new akong PC (my specs and preference) unlike sa una nga palitan ko sa akong mama ug package pc sa TTi Grrrrrrrr

uu. 3rd year college na (1year nalang waaaaaaahehehe)

3 na ka pc akong na assemble sa akong tinugum+mama+papa wahehe

murag need na siguro ni upgrade akong latest pc nga naa nako karon kay basig world of warcraft hinay na kaayo 10FPS wahehehe.

para makasuway na ko ug mga latest games etc.
and need sad siguro nako upgrade akong pc kay im into programming man gud

i think what hitler wanted to say in pointing out a previous thread was that "a high end processor is needed for a top-end user". but hey, for newbs, CDC would do well enough. but then again, a little more firepower won't kill.

a move from dual core to quad core should only improve a little bit.. sometimes nothing...
wait until ray-tracing rendering games comes out. it might take more advantage of multicore CPUs
