should anime exceed the 100 eps limit?

Only a few have yes but if you think about it.

1. Is it overkill to extend the episodes past the usual 24-26 trend of episodes.
2. Fillers Gawd they fill the 100+ eps with loads and loads and loads of episodes

In the long run why dont they stop while they're ahead? Do most anime stop because of financial reasons?? But wouldnt it have been great to see (insert anime name here) continue on?

1. no its not overkill. that's what story & character arcs are for. getting in-depth or just wallow away. about those fillers. well, that's another thing.

2. fillers are like fart. they're like the tweeners of the good parts. it could either pre-empt a good story or they could just be bad air, nothing more.

Sadly Naruto isn't anymore....

It depends on how they move with the stories and their arcs. Fillers are okay, but not too much. *cough*Naruto*cough

No, it'd be better if they do that. To avoid crappy endings. And filler eps, well they bore the hell out of me. I love D.gray-man for not giving us any so far.

Hey now even if anime exceeds 100 plus eps what makes it good or bad is subjective per person. Id say go ahead and argue BUT people are entitled to their own opinion. Id agree with eirawn on some points. There have been good series that lasted 6-13 episodes heck some manga even lasted only 2 volumes.
