He's supposed to be the one who's going to carry the torch of the Celtics dynasty since both Bird and McHale are nearing their retirement back then. The Celtics last won a title during the 1986 season, the year he died.

It's supposed to be a great rivalry between Bias and Michael Jordan, who like Larry Bird and Magic Johnson, has already started some sort of rivalry in their college careers.

Two famed Boston players have already died right before retiring, Len Bias and Reggie Lewis.
