Statistically speaking yes they will be more lenient in terms of business, thats what you were pointing out at your previous post instead you went back into the political matter, those two are completely different things. And unless the PH can also provide solid evidence of Filipino communities living there for over 100 years with OUR culture and recognized by our government, simply saying that it is ours because its closer to us just wont do by international stadards. As for the political aspect the PH is resposible for itself and no one else, its capabilities both in diplomacy and military cannot be blamed nor relied upon from other nation states nor thier actions, if we had an able militray then they wont bully but then again we cant afford that, our country is screwed up from the core culture so no we never had a chance againts anybody not even lesser ones like Vietnam.

You say a state should learn how to play the field, but your previous post clearly suggest the situation of an individual NOT A STATE, since when did states become employed? If youre gonna bring up the topic of capitalism stick to it and dont divert into politics when argued with.

No, I am Filipino as I have mentioned before in this same thread. Although my way of thingking maybe unconventional and weird to some, mind you if the worse happens while youre stuck to believing that its gonna be alright how will you move on?

LOL... dont you know that states are considered as individuals in an international politics setting? Most of the time when we describe international relation we liken it to individual relationships. Politics and business are not so different from each other you know, it all about profit but in politics we call advantage or state interest.

When I Say that that American are better employer im refering to a having a better bargain with them or benefit compare a China relationship. Why? China wants an image that its a super power, but i dont believe it... Military power maybe.. but so is India and Pakistan...

First even China's claim over the area is not that strong either...

Second Spartly most islands are not liveable... its not actually the island that counts in the area it only necessary to provide that states legal grounds sa ila mga claims.

Third, The Philippines is weak country in terms mostly in terms of or military capabilities so it does need the assistance of a stronger allied... maybe like US...

Third, War? You believe that this could lead to war? I am inclined to believe that it would not. Maybe Its just like the Cold War... the worst part the Cuban Missile Crisis.

With China wanting to own all of the Western Philippine Sea, the US have vested interest because its a trade route and where their navy ship passes and so they dont want it to be controlled by an overbearing state, which they are not whether an ally or a foe.

Economically, US sees alot of potentials from China, meaning USE. Why as a market perhaps but then again many are still poor in China so I would stick with low labour cost.

The second question is Does China need US? Maybe not. or maybe yes. Most MNCs have their factories installed in China... so what do you think will happen if they pull out? Cases of Intellectual Property Infringement and trademarks will surely pile. US having the support of Western States could do an economic blockade. No products from or to China. Now that would be interesting dont you think?

Clearly the Issue in Spratly is a sign that China wants to impose upon the International Community that its a powerful state... but then China dont have the esteem of the International Community.

IF I were to say... A stronger ASEAN relation and maybe a little assistance from US is enough to put China in its place. Or The ICJ can just declare the area res nullius.

call center agent? Def not. )

then maybe you should read this post.... then we talk about claims and legality.
