exactly most of them are linebred, with most aim is only the conformation...the 'tighter' the better the specimen they ought to think for them to come up with the conformationally "ideal"specimen of its breed.some even linebreed for the sake of linebreeding with no regards to what they're producing.
with regards to breed registration, kennel clubs (such as AKC for example)doesn't really require or specify linebreeding or any breeding what so ever in its pedigree but instead required the following before accepting or registering a new breed of dog
: (a)it should first be registered in its AMERICAN KENNEL CLUB-FOUNDATION STOCK SERVICES(AKC-FSS) which will monitor the number of registered dogs in its database program,(b)that it breeds true to its breed type(c)that a breed should have a registered parent club,(d)that a breed should have atleast a 3-6 generation pedigree,(e) that it should have an agreeable amount of population per state (if i remember it right the year they state this is 1999 or 2000,its atleast 3,000 specimen per state).
before they accept a breed,it is placed first in the miscellaneous class, before moving to their respective groups
the new breeds newly accepted by the AKC are the following:the norwegian buhund, the plott hound, the redbone coonhound, the glen of imaal terrier, the neapolitan mastiff, the dogue de bordeaux, the beauceron, the tibetan mastiff & the irish red & white setter.
