Professional cyclists go directly to the bathhouse after the Paris-Roubaix ( Paris-Roubaix - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia )...I have videos of several stages of the Paris-Roubaix and I see them run straight to the shower after crossing the finish line. And they suffer from no ill effects after this.

I'm not countering your posts miss. Ang ako lang, nothing is absolute--the ill effects depend on your body's condition, in that if your body can take it, you can even dunk yourself in a tub full of ice water after a strenous workout and nothing bad will happen to you--it's all about being fit--the fitter you are, the better chances that sudden changes in temperature will have zero effects on your body.

the short and honest answer to the thread starter...OK RA!

kaligo gud kung ready naka...wait or dont wait...pariho ra na...it will not kill you or damage you...its just water, soap and shampoo

btw, just to clarify...i think the thread starter ment taking a SHOWER after a workout...not a BATH...the two are not the same. i dont know of any GYM that has BATH TUBS for patrons to take baths in after a workout...naa bah?

syempre kung naa kay condition or masakiton naka then lain napud na, even if di ka maligo, just going up the stairs can kill you. but in general if you are healthy lang, ok ra man na init imong lawas nya maligo ka.

in general people take warm baths right? why would anyone want a cold bath anyways...still, i dont think its "unhealthy". its not like its an ice cold bath gyud as in maligo ka ice. syempre hypothermia ang kalaban nimo dira.that kind of cold bits your skin to begin with so i dont think anyone would be crazy to do that anyways.hehe.

sus naa pa diay ni mga tinuohan sa buktot noh hehehe mu tuo pa diay mo na if you have a fever di mo pwedi maligo? pwedi intawon...

As far as pro and amateur athletes are concerned, it's fine. These people take a quick bath/wash right after working out or even after hard and long games and they even do a lot of activities than other people. It's even a good way to help the body recover from a high temperature it got from working out.

part naman sa imong excercise ang cool down so ok ra maligo ka dayon.
may mag gikan ka threadmill for 30 mins nya shower dayon

pero aylang kalita, sa sugod try to rest for 10 mins, then 7 then 5 mins or less.
Maghumol man gani ang mga NBA players sa ilang tiil in ice right after the game.
