I think they found something to get away with their responsibilities, the company should know in the first hand that there is always that tendency that these pilots would seek greener pastures, they end up being exploited by these pilots. Before committing towards the agreed training they should furnish a very constructive work contract of let us say serve more than 5 years or more, then be asked at the fourth year if the contract be renewed or not so that they could train another pilots to do the job. This is an apparent blunder of the company side and now it cost them a lot of revenues.

From what I've heard through the grapevine, PAL apparently treats their pilots like crap, forcing them to fly for Air Philippines (one of PAL's subsidiaries) thereby getting a reduction in pay. The pilots are said to have made repeated efforts to resign, but have been rejected by the company each time.

I agree with this. Mao pud ni ako na dungan from a junior PAL pilot.
Ila daw gi force ang ila pilots to fly AirPhil planes with lesser pay.
Since daw ni order ang AirPhil daghan Airbus 320 ug kanang gagmay nga plane. mura 20 planes man cguro to. mao na needed nila Pilots. unya asa man sila magkuha? kundi sa PAL.

They're actually earning 500k per month. In Cathay for example, their pilots are getting 1M per month.. but that's like comparing apples and oranges. It's like working for an IT company here in Cebu compared to an IT company is Singapore.
