    C. THE RULING THAT APPELLANT WEBB WAS "SMUGGLED" INTO AND OUT OF THE PHILIPPINES WITHIN 9 MARCH 1991 AND 27 OCTOBER 1992, WITH THE US INS CERTIFICATIONS BEING THE PROBABLE PRODUCT OF "MONEY, POWER, INFLUENCE, OR CONNECTIONS" IS BASED ON PURE SPECULATION AND BIASED CONJECTURE AND NOT ON A CONCLUSION THAT ANY COURT OF LAW SHOULD MAKE.

Dili daw si Biong ang nagsunog...It's Lauro's relatives, the reason that they burned those suppose evidence was nanimaho na daw and mo uliay na daw si Lauro from US..The certain relative admitted this in the court pero gipalapos ra daw pikas dunggan sa judge..

Mr.Biong was also offered in the witness protection program if he would corroborate Alfaro's story but he didn't....so napriso tawn..In an interview with Karen Davila, Biong said that if the NBI would not implicate him their case against the Webb is very weak...

They said that Biong recieved a hefty amount of money for defending the Webb but when they visited his house mura tawn ug barong2x and his wife even worked as a DH abroad just to support their family. He was even accused as a bodyguard or driver of Sen Webb but so ironic that Mr. Biong doesn't have any driver license coz he doesn't even know how to drive.

Yah.. I read somewhere(I forgot) that Epimaco Velasco did his own investigation coz they're from the same place but according to his investigation wala man daw siya makita nga evidences that would implicate the Webb et al... Mr Velasco even said that Ms Alfaro is not a credible witness.

    Based on what evidences??
Testimonies of the very credible star witness Ms Alfaro?
    or Forensic evidences??

late na kaayo ko sa thread dah..hehe..kani si jessica alfaro suspicious detail gyud ni,wai credibility, inconsistent, di man gani ni siya asset sa nbi not a witness, nahimo nalang siya witness kay nibackout man daw iyang witness 'daw'...paeta you lied in only one thing pero murag you lied sa tanan...
criminal justice here is so weak and is their no other way on how our justice system can move fast and not move like a turtle, no is perfect though but the defect is very big already...the investigators should present the right evidence and suspect coz i think if they cant asap after 20yrs that case and everything will be erase...my bad, correct me if im wrong...

Default Acquittal does not mean innocence, says SC spokesman

MANILA, Philippines—The acquittal of Hubert Webb and six of his co-accused in the Vizconde massacre case did not mean that they were innocent of the crime, a Supreme Court spokesman said Wednesday.

Midas Marquez, the tribunal’s spokesman and court administrator, said the high court’s decision only held that the prosecution panel failed to prove Webb et al. guilty beyond reasonable doubt.

“We have to understand that the decision of the Supreme Court maintained that there was no enough basis to stay the conviction of the accused,” Marquez said in a news briefing.

“The magistrates did not say that they were innocent and that they did not commit the crime,” he added.

Marquez said Webb and his six co-accused could sue the state for damages, but their complaint would have to go through the process.

“If they claim that they were wrongfully prosecuted and jailed, then they have to prove it in court. It should go through the normal procedure,” he explained.

He then appealed for calm among critics of the high court’s decision, saying, “It would be better if they read the entire decision.”

The supplemental opinion of Justice Arturo Brion, who voted against the acquittal, would also help the public better understand the high court’s ruling, according to Marquez.

He also clarified that the Supreme Court’s ruling was not a vindication for Webb et al.

“I’m not saying that justice has been served. Those who killed the Vizcondes have yet to be held accountable. Where is justice there?” he said.

Voting 7-4, the high tribunal on Tuesday decided to overturn the conviction of Webb and the other co-accused due to inconsistencies in the testimony of star witness Jessica Alfaro.
