The trick is to layer something over your bathing suit - say, a sundress, halter top, kaftan, tube top or tank top OVER your bikini. Board shorts work very well too.

Bring a scarf to keep your hair out of your eyes, and a hat or a cap and your sunnies. Just wear flipflops.

DO NOT FORGET YOUR SUN BLOCK!!! AT LEAST SPF 30.

Oh, and after-sun lotions work well, too, and there's a spritz for the hair to protect it from the sun.
