Default Difference between University and Non-University?

Inig apply daw og trabaho kailangan daw ang school background kung nindot ba o dli? please correct me if I'm wrong.
Once I get so curious about something, I'm getting hungrier to find a right answer. Dli jud mawa sa akong ulo kay gusto ko makabalo kung ngano og unsa.

    I need your opinion/answer..

    Both kay Tertiary education institution.

Ang university kay independent. Wala makabuot.

    College kay either:

    Vocational -> Tesda

Component Faculty -> College of Arts and Sciences, UC College of Law

Naa pud University College -> Independent tertiary ed institution but not a university
    i.e. Mandaue City College

Component college -> Separate college, dili faculty, but under a bigger university
i.e. Trinity College (a Cambridge component)

Colleges tend to be smaller, with smaller class sizes, and students receive more personal attention from faculty. Universities offer master’s and doctoral degrees which require completion of the bachelor’s degree first.Universities tend to be larger, with faculty time and attention divided between research and teaching. Some large universities will have divisions named “The College of Liberal Arts” or the “College of Engineering.”

research from google, maybe it could help....

Sa akong nasabtan sa imong situation k mao ni, imong parents nahan na mo graduate ka from a University k your parents thought nga mka tabang ni inig apply nmog work. Daun nag doubt ka sa reason behind sa imong parents ug ngano nahan cla mo grad ka from university ug y nka ingon cla nga mka tabang ang school background nig apply ug work. Krn nahan ka mka balo ug ngano mao ni huna2x sa imong parents for you. Cge I will share my thoughts, I will keep things in general pra ma dali...

    *uni=university
    *grad=graduate
*my comment's context on local job market to make it short

Basi sa akong nsabtan ug basi sa akong experience as a parent nga grad from a non-uni school and now a mid-level mgmt employado ug company outside cebu akong masulte IMO k 1) i agree with your parents, ug 2) uni grads have high chance of employment..... Here's why...

    For the 1st point
Mubo ug simple ra ang akong explanation ani k every parent only wants what's best for their child. Nahan ang parents nga ilang anak nig grad k nindot ug ka.ugma.on like mka work ug dali sa dako/nindot nga kompanya nga naay insakto/dakog sweldo pra puhon mka barog sa iyang ka.ugalingon tiil....

    For the 2nd point
Gikan sa company's hiring standpoint. Usually but not all cases, pili.on nila ug una ang candidate coming from uni k they think nga mao ni cla ang best candidate from the pool of talents. I can't blame them, ya' know why? Coz kani mga big/famous companies knows the level of standards from a non-uni to a uni school. I know people & students from non-uni & uni
in and outside pinas, also been in uni and non-uni schools in and outside pinas and saw for myself ug unsa ang diprensya sa level sa grad coming out from non-uni ug uni schools. Mao nga nka sabot ko ug ngano favorable sa mga big/sikat nga kompanya nga mo recruit ug uni grad. But there are still big/sikat na kompanya/SME nga mo hire ug non-uni grad (myself is a good example)
I know nga naa pa daghan factors pra mka land ug job pero kani ako g share mao ni ang pina k una e consider. Katong uban factors k lahi napud to nga thread..

A "simple and short" idea sa hiring process
Kung ang usa k company naay opening nga naay note nga "fresh grads are welcome". One way for them to triage fresh grad is by the school they grad. Mostly tagaan nilag high priority for an interview k kana gikan sa uni, then followed by non-uni then the rest. But this does not apply to all companies pero mostly mao ni ang g practice.

So mag unsa nman lng d i ning mga grad ug non-uni school?
Ayaw k gool k kani mga grad sa non-uni k mka work lng gihapon parehas nko . Mao ni mahitabo, nig k hurot ug k hire sa mga uni grad ang mabilin nga pili.anan k kato na mga non-uni grads, so mao nani ang panahon sa mga non-uni grads mka interview ug puhon ma hire...Mka work japon ang non-uni grads pero mejo dugay2x lng gamay This for me is a sad reality k na experience ni nko 1st hand Naa ko 2 klasm8 from HS, sa pangutokay k mka ingon ko kami2x ra base sa ranking namo sa HS sa kanang honor2x. N
ya nag college mi sa lahi2x mga school, ang usa sa top uni school sa cebu ug ang ika 2 k naa nag school sa top uni sa mindanao. Ni grad mi as ordinary grad lng, pero dali kaau cla nka work kompara nko. Sa una nka ingon ko nga unfair ang recruitment process, pero krn after all my exp nka sabot nko ug ngano ulahi ko nka work..

To sum it up, mka work ra japon bisan kinsa dli lng all at the same time
I hope nka tabang ni ako g share nmo TS, if m not making any sense to you, aw e discard lng ni ako comment

Kani ako story may not be the same sa tanan pero mao ni ako ma share basi sa ako exp....Cheers!
