Default Engine Warm-up: Necessary or not?

Note to mods: I'm not quite sure if a similar thread/topic already exists. Maybe there already is but I just couldn't find it through the search button. Paki-merge nalang kung naa na. Thanks!

To all car/bike owners & enthusiasts, do you usually warm your engine up for a few minutes before driving? Is it really a general rule? I know ma-google ra ni nga pangutana, but I've already read too many contradicting answers. Some would say it is necessary to let the engine oil and everything circulate etc.. But others say it's just wasting gas & harming the environment.. Hasta akong erpats sa una I remember he would let his pickup truck run idle (esp in the morning) before molarga and I think mao ng nadala na ni nako nga habit hantod karon.. Even ang mga mekaniko, lain2x pod ilang tubag about ani.

Please share your views and (technical) opinion on this..

Not really necessary bro pro its better to have, in my opinion we should do warm up pra macirculate ang oil, ky magasgas ang block kung pugson padagan dayon bsan wa pa nisaka ang oil. Dli dayon na maguba dha dha pro kung ihabit nmo kada adlaw, mas madali na loss comPression or makan-an ang block in the long run....

Mura ra gud na sa tao, mag warm-up exercise before proceeding to the main exercise.

Kung cold start, especially kanang 24hours walay dagan2x ang vehicle, imo jud na e warm up (idle run/neutral). Para maka circulate ang oil, then to prevent thermal stress sa imong engine.
