Default Somethings fishy with Toms hardware's Benchmark

    http://www.tomshardware.com/2008/01/...ess/page6.html

Hmm... It seems impossible that in some benchmarks the single 2900xt outperforms a 3870CF PCIe 2.0.
and a single HD3850 outperforms an CF HD3870 on PCIe 16x-16x.

Even And in some benchmarks a HD3870's score is non existent.

Something is obviously very fishy about this review. Whether they are creating a benchmark or an Nvidia commercial.
Then they cover it up with switching from pcie 2.0 from v1.0a topic.
They did not even show what driver versions they are using.

I have checked lots of forums who are using CF on 16x-16x and has huge amount of performance gains.

Please I'm not comparing PCE 2 vs 1 i'm looking at the benchmarks.

They could be using an old ATI drivers. Even latest ati drivers have some issues with games, Some games would run slower in CF mode compared to a single card.
Some games have dramatic increase in performance in CF almost 100%.

hopefully ATI will continue to fix those game performance issues with CF.

In these benchmark more likely toms hardware used old drivers.
