Plasma good for Movies, generates pure black colors while LCD cant, peripheral viewing sa plasma bati.
LCD, cannot generate pure black nga color, but to me, negligable rani for most users, maayo iyang peripheral viewing. Brighter iyang tanan colors.

Generally, most people say (I'm not sure how true or accurate this is 'coz I don't own a plasma):
If you want:
Large Screen and Watch HD movies/channels -> PLASMA

Small Screen and Play alot of Video Games -> LCD TV
