Comments on Nikon D40x?

What are your comments on Nikon D40x? something about the kind of lens that it's compatible with?...

im a D40 user, but i guess theres not much difference between the two D40 and D40x it terms of features, funtionality, and compatibility issue

LENS: 1. D40/x is fully compatible witth nikkor AF-S DX lenses, a type of lens wherein the focusing mechanism is located in the lens barrel, some other type of lenses such as the AF-I series and other older nikkor lenses can still be used but some fuctions are not available such as the AUTO FOCUS and METERING, if you will be using these type of lenses on a D40/x you will be using manual focus
2. there are also third party lenses that are fully compatible with the D40/x these includes SIGMA and TAMRON brands

Just check the connectors on the lens mount if 1 is missing
You'll be doing manual focus. AF-S and AF-I only

For Sigma its the HSM series, Im not sure if Tamron and Tokina
has released the versions for lens internal focus.

Its a nice cam. Been using it for a while already.
No issues on my unit bought ot w/ 2 lens kit and
I add a 50 f1.8.

@tin-tin, you can never go wrong with any of the two, both are respected camera brands(nikon and canon), ive seen many threads comparing the N's and the C's, but the discussion never ends simply because its not easy to compare the two....so i suggest visit some camera review sites it might help you in your decision....try this www.dpreview.com
