    Default Your Food Discoveries

Discovered any food that is interesting, amazingly mindblowing , addictive or just simply delish?Â* :mrgreen:Â* Â*Share your discoveries here!

To anybody and everybody who loves food, going out and trying something new, to those who are adventurous and those who prefer old favorites...share share!

As usual, I spent the holidays in a whirlwind of parties, gimiks, nights out, dinners, coffee and girl lunches.Â* After having spent the whole year out of cebu, I was just so excited to be home for the holidays to discover what's new.Â* Apparently, there was a lot and I was just so excited to try out everything while I was there.Â*

Thought I'd share my latest food discoveries:

    - Spice Fusion (BTC) - malaysian/singaporean cuisine.Â* i was so excited when i found out that there was finally a good malaysian restaurant in cebu.Â* right away, without thinking, i just had to have roti canai, reminiscent of my days in malaysia. this is a must try! i ordered in advance before i perused the rest of the menu so i didn't have to wait too long before we could chump on somethingÂ* Â* Â*the beverage menu wasn't too impressive, though. it's pretty much the usual stuff.

    - LemonGrass (Ayala) - vietnamese/thai cuisine.Â* menu is similar to krua thai. food is good - try the fresh summer rolls with satay sauce and the beef flat noodles - uber good! it's a little too pricey , though, considering the size of the portions.Â* nice interiors - it's bright and fresh and pleasing to the eyes.Â* a good place to lunch with your friends but you'd have to cough out a little bit of moolah than your usual

    - Cafe Laguna - i know this is an old old favorite. I've been dining in this restaurant since I can remember.Â* Recently, though, I've just discovered that they have puto bungbong that's absolutely delish! never thought puto bungbong could be this good.

I've heard a lot about Abaseria but didn't get the chance to go.Â* Any comments?

What's a good korean restaurant in Cebu that I should try next time?

Rai Rai Ken - There are better Japanese restaurants but this one's the most accessible to all. When people think Japanese they immediately associate the food with Sashimi, Sushi, and Tempura. What they forget about is the amazing Ramen. Try the Kimuchi Ramen from Rai Rai..nice and spicy. If you dare not try the spice yet then why not a regular Beef Ramen. It hits the spot!

    Enjoy your ramen better:

Soup spoon on left hand and chopsticks on right hand. They may not necessarily be proper but damn does it bring out the fun in Ramen.

Also, slurping your noodles is a good way to cool it down so you won't burn your taste buds. Slurping food is generally accepted by Japanese table etiquette as proper.
this is the line --------- cross it. i dare you
