This is trivial.
It needs only a webserver and php. Just point the config to the IMAP service of your mail server and it's done.

I have tried it in a linux environment.
It is nearly the same and more easier in Windows.

Just install WAMP. Here Apache and PHP are installed.
Then change the configuration of Squirrel mail to point to the mail / IMAP server,
If you want your mail services in the same machine (local), install MDaemon.
To route the email to this machine is done just adding an MX record on the DNS server of your domain.

What is complicated in this procedure?
