    Default F I T N E S S T I P S!!!

    Any tips? Post it here!

    Here's mine:

Your aerobic workout should last at least 20 minutes with an intensity level high enough to keep your heart rate between 50 & 85% of your predicted maximum heart rate. Your predicted maximum heart rate can be calculated by subtracting your age from 220. To find your intensity range, multiply the result by 0.50 to find approximate 50% & 0.85 to find approximated 85%

30-45 min duration is a fat burning zone either Brisk Walking, Jogging or Running...as long as you reach this duration..
in order to run longer try determining your normal running pace by using the talk test..talk test is Talking to a running mate while running or if alone try speak enough 2 words repeatedly..if unable to speak two words while running then youre running so fast, if you exceed 2 words then youre running slow...running burn fats fast but if suddenly you'll stop u'll gain alot of fats..

Wen you train your body uses carbohydrates for energy. Your muscles rely on carbohydrates stored in them. Carbs that digest somewhat faster include bananas, potatoes, brown rice, oranges, orange juice and pasta. These will be even readily available for the body to draw on.

Just a small correction, brown rice is considered low on the GI scale - therefor making them a complex carbohydrate (digests slow).
Just to add a little to your post, our bodies convert carbohydrates into glycogen which are then stored in the muscles/liver. :

The main belief why we regain our muscles quickly after having a long delay is due to the fascia surrounding our muscles being stretched. One may view the fascia as a bag holding the muscles - when the muscles grows larger (hypertrophy) the fascia stretches too. Once the fascia is stretched, it does not atrophy (grow smaller) as the muscles do due to inactivity or what not. So once that fascia is stretched it is easier to gain muscle in that area, whether it be regaining the size it once had or filling in that space.
Which leads to another point - after your session with weights, stretch properly as it may aid to stretch the fascia (among other reasons). Look into extreme stretching or even deep tissue massage.

Walk 10 minutes a day and increase your fitness level. Old thinking was to work out in a sweat filled gym for hours everyday. No pain, no gain as we say. Studies shows that short bouts of activity can increase your fitness level especially if you're new at working out.
