Globe, Smart and Sun are already taxed for their income and permits plus VAT.
Taxing again for these will be double-taxation.
Unless these telecoms evade paying taxes and the govt want to tax them again.

When I was watching the news this morning, I've heard an interview regarding this issue wherein one of the cabinet officials clarified that there is really no serious issue on this matter. The concrete proposals are with regard on tariff rates as well as on sin taxes. On the other end, there were no serious talks as regards the plan of taxing texting.

It would be an idea but such is not entertained seriously because they have other remedies than resorting to imposing tax on texts.

Tax must be added to companies like Globe and Smart but not to the people.

silly how the ordinary pinoys are being taxed, while multinational corporations doing business here get tax cuts.
