How Do I Know If I Have Bluetooth?

I bought a secondhand laptop, Dell Inspiron 6400. It was running on Vista but I reformatted it and downgraded to Windows XP. I tried reinstalling the bluetooth driver but an error occurs saying that the bluetooth device cannot be found. I searched the specs on the internet and it says that my laptop has bluetooth. How do I check if I really have bluetooth?

tan awa sa device manager if naa bay icon for bluetooth device/s it should show there if you have the hardware evn though wala na intall ang software or drivers for it. if wala sa device manager then most likely wla kay bluetooth. to get to device manager i go to control panel, then system, then under sa hardware tab ang device manager. im assuming youre using win xp.

for some systems, medju labad ang process from downgrading Vista to XP
starting sa Os reinstallation.. some systems cant even detect the SaTA drive

sakto si juan, software or no software makita ang bluetooth icon sa dev manager , update lang
better yet check sa dell support website

Yup, at the Dell Support page it says it has bluetooth.

Under what tab in Device Manager will it normally say that I have bluetooth? Cuz I can't seem to find it anywhere...

mine shows right away an icon for bluetooth devices. try exploring all the icons to be sure. if wala gyud then perhaps it doesnt have it or maybe it was damaged? doesnt the laptop have a switch to turn the bluetooth on and off? maybe you have to turn it on manually first in order to be detected. or maybe you can ask the previous owner?
