Does watching dvdrips and dvds count as htpc? or only HD movies and blu-rays?
Do I have to get a HTPC case to be counted? cuz my case is just a generic one...

Very good question, All PCs are HTPCs for that matter, but lets limit it to those whove connected there PC to a teli.

my rig + samsung 40" lcd via component video cables (soon via dvi to hdmi cable) + yamaha rxv-650 av receiver via optical cable + b&w dm-602 series 3 (front) w/ stand + b&w lcr-60 series 3 (center) + jvc surround speakers w/ stand + velodyne cht-10 subwoofer

my mediagate mg-350hd w/ 500gb hdd is also connected to my tv & av receiver.
