need advice on sata cables

hello, im will be replacing the sata cables that came with my shuttle sn25p xpc because they are faulty. i will be using the sata cables that came with my sister's intel board(shes not using a sata drive). My questions are as follows:
1. will there be compatibilty issues?
2. i mean are all sata cables the same or is there anything else i need to know before i do it?
