This is a little bit technical, but for those who want to be able to browse the Internet anywhere in the house or the office,a wireless router is always been a plus. The problem with 802.11b or 802.11g router is not so much as speed, but its limited range. Linksys has this new Wireless N router, and it promises more speed (nine-imes over Wireless G or over 35 times over Wireless B), but the most important thing is that it has three-times the range. So if you are in another room or another floor, you will most likely not hit a deadspot!

Depende rana sa imong Plan sa internet. How much was your internet plan? 990? 1200? or above. Kung gamay imong plan, sak2 rasad imong speed.

Upgrade to 1MB for SURE.

802.11b (the slowest, 10Mbps) is enough for internet bandwidth.
Right now 1Mbps internet is the average limit for DSL connection. That is already 10x less of your network speed.
Also 1Mpbs is shared between clients, so bandwidth is not multiplied.

I think N is mainly used to extend your network to other buildings or offices.

Based on Technical specifications: Wireless N must be compatible with the 80211a, b & g standards for downward compatibility. As for the preference using the Wireless N because you are in the next room remains to be proven until tested. Wireless Devices are not designed to go through walls but to connect with a line of sight.

But in some cases, wireless devices can go between rooms but there is a little space that's open enough for the radio signals to go through.

I do not recommend using wireless, whate ver the standard is, to be used in between closed rooms.

So if you plan to use wireless around the house, try testing the product before purchasing. (That is if the supplier will allow)

if ang imo wireless adapter is only a, b and g mode, then imo wireless router is a, b, g and Draft N mode then ang connection ra magamit is only G mode 54mbps lang ang speed, then if both is draft N then ok kau 270mbps ang speed kung computer to computer...

about the compatibility, sa linksys router, and mode sa router set lang to mixed para if any mode connection mo connect ok ra... gana ra cya..
