IT course vs. COMP.E course

depende unsay imong gusto bro...no course is 'better' than the other course kay lahi man gyud na cya. but if you're into computer hardware, then syempre mas maayo gyud ang computer engineering. also mas lisod pud na na course para sa akoa (based on experience kay nakakuha kog both IT and CompE majors)

hehehe...mao ba masterako first choice jd ang IT master pro ng libog lng ko karon sa COMP.E pd....murag lingaw mn gud...hehehe..
pero para lng nmo master...asa mas nindot,lingaw,ug sayon??
kng ako lng master,hilig kog troubleshooting,softwares, etc.
pro nhan pd kog hardwares gamay...hehe

@parts, comp eng ko brod.. sa usctc.. we have majors since 2006..

BS Comp Eng Major in Computer Networks, Major in Digital System Design and Major in Software Engineering..

You can choose from the 3..

Comp Eng has more math I guess.. til 4th yr.. than IT.. and kutob 5th yr ang comp eng..

We don't do troubleshooting though in Comp Eng.. we don't actually fix computers.. it's optional for us.. but wala jud gi-offer nga subject mag tudlo og troubleshooting..

Especially sa ECE and EE subjects.. more on theories.. applying theories..

I'm major in Computer Networks though.. We're more on Databasing, web programming (JSP, PHP) og Networking (Windows 2003 Server, Setting up network computers)

I don't know about the Digital System Design.. but I don't see them fixing computers..

madala ra man na ang computer fixing og vocational tingali. pero better kung kabalo jud ka unsa ang gadagan sa computer para mas dali makadiagnose sa problem.

ang problema lng anang CompE bro (dunno bout some schools) kay you need heavy background sa math (advanced calculus) & physics (para sa electronics). gamay ra man ang software ana. mag solda2x pud ka and other stuff sa ece like robotics etc. while ang IT is more on the business software development lng gyud..halos walay hardware. kung maayo ka, pde ka mukuha og CompE then kuha kag ginagmay na IT subjects. para sa akoa ma-learn man gud nmo from IT kay pde ra nmo ma self-study while ang sa compE kay dili..hehe

btaw bro sakto na pde sad vocational na computer trouble shooting then kuha dayon kag IT daghan na kog barkada na mahilig og computer hardware abi nila na porke maayo silag troubleshooting kaya na nila ang compE...tua nangabagsak sa math & physics & EE/ECE major subjects..nang shift nuon og IT kadugayan. pero maayo na man sila og kahimtang karon nindot og mga trabaho hehe. mura ra nag ECE nang compE mas sayon lng gamay kay dli na ka kinahanglan mag review para sa board..kung tarong na skwelahan ang nag offer og compE halos 75% sa subjects ana pareha ra sa ECE

When you say man gud engineering, you should have a strong background in math...

I for myself, don't have strong background in math, but still surviving.. hehehe..

dako gyud og gasto ang comp e compare sa it tungod sa mga projects. samot na if magpahimo ra og project kay dili kabalo mu design

patay jd ko anang math bro...hehe..nuon,ok rmn pd nuon ako math pero dle nko ganahan ug mg analyze2 pa oi...kapoi...hehehe...actually, i like math mn pd pero mao lage, tapolan mn pd kaau ko gd...hehe...so, wala na sa akong huna2 ang Comp.e....
