Cannot See Other Computers in the WOrkgoup

Hi guys! A newbie here. How come I've installed windows xp on several computers, same workgroup, dili cla magkita? Any suggestions?

and also check your firewalls... there are some firewalls that blocks net bios... chk pud imong windows xp firewall (sp2's)

try pud change to 10MBps full duplex or lower bro..

make sure all PC in the network are on the same "workgroup" or domain

Same ip config, same workgroup.

IP must not be the same..Try using IP in consecutive order...

256.165.0.1
256.165.0.2
256.165.0.3
etc...

also don't forget to check if those computers that are not seen in the network are physically connected.. i.e. check the patchcord connection. and after doing the suggestion of Creed-X, try pinging the ip addresses of the computers if they reply or not... if not, then there really is a problem either physically disconnected, or just a on the ip addressing...

Yes i know their ip addresses should not be the same. Mag ip conflict man kung pareho, d ba. And i can ping it, so dili patchcord connection ang problema.

install ipx/spx/netbios protocol... hth
