Default Port forwarding and making your pc accessible via Internet with Speedstream 4200

    Hello masters,

As the title suggests, I would appreciate if someone would give a step-by-step tutorial on how to configure a 4200 speedstream router or any speedstream router to make a pc accessible via internet. I have read threads in this forum that port forwarding is one major key para ma.achieve ni sya but i think no one really gave a clear answer on how to configure it with other things to consider such as firewalls in router and OS , NAT/NAPT, and the ISP which may block certain ports. Kani bias lng ta sa Speedstream 4200 kay mao man ako router. hehe Pero ang point is makahimo ug guide.

may unta daghan makalearn from this thread.
    Thanks daan sa mga mureply

    bump.
here's what i have done so far.

(Fictional) IP of my pc = 192.168.254.2
    IP of router = 222.127.52.244
    Let's say I'm running a web app.

    1. http://speedstream
    2. setup >> port forwarding. choose http service.
Redirect selected protocol/service to IP Address: 192.168.254.2.
    Apply.

kana ra jud ako mabuhat. i dont know how to configure
    setup >> NAT/NAPT and setup >> firewall >> DMZ.

EXACTLY! im also using this site to set up a port forward and static IP. lahi rajud noh ang static ?! Before nag download ko ug spiderman sa internet na 1Gb+ kadako na file for almost 3 days without turning off my pc ( Day and night ) But after I learned this and as in na set up jd nako correctly...laliman ka na nag download ko ug lain na movie na same size sad for almost 6 hours lang. nagsugod gud ko mga 12am thinking na mas paspas pag kadlawon...pagmata nako sa buntag the following day, finish na download ! kuyawa btaw oi.

BUT be careful to set up right kay the bad side of it is mas dali ma hack imo pc kay static nagud ka ug IP !

BY the way im using exactly the same router courtesy of globelines (speedstream 4200)...This router has this built in portforward feature. pag set up lang jud ang kulang ani.

just see for yourself to believe. follow this steps:

    1. know ur default gateway. if wala go to run
    2. type command or cmd
    3. type ipconfig. there u will see your default gateway
    4. after open internet browser i.e internet explorer
    5. just type your corresponding gateway.
    6. there u will see ur speedstream home page
    7. enter admin as password
    8. there you will see port forward menu

    EXPLORE it bro!
