pwede kaayo kung naa pa extra memory slot. kung wala, you have to take out the existing memory module and replace it with a bigger capacity.![]()
ic.same ra pod d i sa desktop. well anyway matsalams kau bro. ur a lot of help!
pwede ra kaayo... just ask for " SODIMMS " sa mga pc stores..
With my limited exprience in upgading laptop memories, I would like to share the ff:
1. Laptops can be very picky about RAM upgrades. You have to look up your specific model and confirm the specs. I have a late model SOTEC laptop that I tried twice to upgrade with generic memory sticks. None worked. I could have ordered a specific SOTEC-compatible RAM for a higher price---I decided to skip the memory upgrade and got a faster hard drive instead.
2. Upgradability varies from laptop to laptop. Sometimes only one slot is available for upgrading because the other module is soldered to the motherboard. If your laptop already has the 2nd slot occupied, then you will end up with an extra stick (that you can probably sell).
3. I had an early model Toshiba that I was able to upgrade using generic memory after confirming that the memory I was ordering was the exact spec as the stock memory. YMMV.
