mission impossible: shopping for decent tops??

i guess im frustrated coz gi tour jd nako tanan ayala and sm, boutique and department store and i came out empty handed. nangita ko og shirts/blouses/tops and all i ever saw were this hideous psychedelic printed tops that everyone is wearing, kimono tops that look like bathrobes, oversized tent-like tops in colors like blue-green (and other unflattering shades), and other tops that make you look cheap.

sa boutiques naman, uninspired ilang designs... the colors are awful too (bayo has this mustard yellow line, others have the blue-green one that i hate). i really wanted to like stuff from kamiseta, plains and prints, bayo and etc but its either bati ilang cloth, bati ilang sizing, bati ang design itself or all of the above.

so where...pls tell me... do u girls buy nice tops man here in cebu na within the price range below 1k, doesn't fall apart after 1 wash, fits well, doesn't look gaudy/cheap/garish which you can wear for dinner parties and other nice occasions? ( i am 5'6 so petite stores are out. im also not on the big side so i dont need adina, etc. im a 6 in american sizes)

i feel for you. tough job no? most shops carry these hideous printed tops and everybody looks the same.

kamiseta, maldita, folded & hung, and bayo usually have decent stuff, in that they are based on classic lines with some trendy details. sometimes you'll get lucky inside sm department store. mango has good stuff tho not necessarily all under 1000. off-price store in paseo has some good selections, but you really need to hunt through the shop. the trick is to keep looking every few weeks or so. be friendly with store staff and find out when their next/new stock will be coming in.

if you don't want to look like a clone, you really have to work harder.

sus, we have the same dilemma tiff.. lately wa au koy napalit diri sa cebu coz bati usually ilang tops.. if naa man gani nice bati ang cloth or dili mu fit nako.. i guess same ra atong size..

well, that's what life is... go with the flow.. so if that's what's in, most stores will really have the "in today"... but try in dept stores, you can really try your luck, Saga, Marquise, Ma.Co and So.En... there are few to select..

i prefer pieces in classic cuts kanang dugay mawala sa uso..
