How to properly store unused PC Components for long periods of time?

Greetings to all.

As the title suggest, How do you keep/store any of our PC Components for 'very' long periods of time (years)?
From what I have observed on my behalf and experience kai bisan nakabutang sa tarong box/container ang item, maguba man hinu-on... [due to humidity?]

we have some so called 'myth' sab in the saying on computers..., "kung dili gamiton, maguba ra hinu-on"

Mostly mga HDD and RAM ako ma store (DDR2 pa gani ning uban. Hahaha). I'll wrap it with anti-static plastic and I'll avoid contacting with any paper/carton material since mo generate ni sila ug static. Wooden drawer/box my choice, also dapat coated ug varnish para nindot tan'awon Hahaha.

For the myth, I can't say tinood. depende ra cguro kong unsaon nimo pag tago ang mga parts.

Naka suway ko motherboard ako giputos sa static plastic, with foam, the mobo kartoon and mga silica gel. Dayun gitape, og iputos napd og paperbag. daun isulod sa drawer. gi testingan nako andar paman, its a pentium 4 nga 478 socket. haha

Ako ra gibilin ako mga hdd ug ram for mga 2 years sa drawer without any protection (daghan siya mga kuyog nga gamit). Gitaod nako sa pc sa ako mama ok raman hahaha. Not sure for mobo/gpu/cpu kay ako raman ibaligya kung di gamiton rather than ma stand-by ra

The best way to store electronic devices, is to place it inside an anti-static bag, together with a silica gel inside (to absorb moisture), wrap it with a bubble wrap (to protect from impacts), and keep it inside a box.

The only myth they said na maguba is that when you store a device that has a battery on it, though electronic devices can withstand about 80 degrees Celsius in most cases. So there you have it, hope this helps
