Need to know before buying a PSP

Hi, I would like some help and advice from those who are familiar with PSP.

Naa daw version ng PSP. The one that i plan to buy is 1.5 japan daw. Is is good that I will upgrade to 2 ot 2.5?
Plan to buy a gig MS and load it with some games.

It is Wifi daw. Can i browse the web using PSP, have wifi set up at home.

Which is better, the US version or the Japanese Version?

Plan to store music and videos on the PSP.

Any advice on this?

the version you mean are the firmware versions, yup 1.5 is the one to get, don't upgrade it to 2.0 or 2.5 if you want to load homebrews, yes wi-fi siya, for 1.5 version you need to use a third party browser, coz 2.0 ra ang naay built-in browser, btw the broswer doesn't support Java, Flash etc.

the only diff between US/Japan is the region lock of UMD movies, meaning Japanese version = Region 2 while the US version = Region 2, so far walay region unlock, so if you plan to play UMD movies, you need to have Region 2s, and also the X/Os buttons are interchange, meaning sa US version X is the button to cancel, in Japan version, X is the select

Storing music, videos on the PSP is no problem, 1.5 = MP3 no Atrac3 support, MP4 Simple Profile only, 2.0= atrac3, MP4 AVC

what are the good avi to mp4 converters?
waht are the good mp3 to Atrac3 converters?

region free raman ang games, meaning you can also play japanese games, ang UMD movies lang naka region lock

is there anyway to unlock the region lock script in your psp?
what are the services does the psp store in maze, ayala give?
download games to memory stick?
i heard the future psps with have a modchip so pirate games etc. won't play anymore.

nope dili nimo ma unlock pa as of now ang UMD region lock for movies, i haven't been to maze yet, you get the info in the internet

the modchip was a fakey

also murag lisod na ang modchip coz pirting gamaya sa PSP unsaon nalang pag sulod, also the market for modchip is not that big compared to the PS2

PSPs with firmware version 2.01 and above are unhackable(for the moment, looks homebrew scene stays at 1.5)
