Morissey Bar in Mango 1995/Artist Dais in raintree mall-Hip place to be in 90's

This is for those who were there when it happened, morrissey bar in mango right beside lighthouse restaurant used to rock every weekends with the music of such local acts such as xiomara and the superheroes, frank, pizzas birthday, and the rockers..the place was eponymous in bringing the subculture of underground music mecca allowing bands to whatevere genre to play. it was an eclectic crowd where there were no pretense, the owner was my buddy named morbai and the place was namedafter his idol of course the vox of the smiths..too bad the place did not last , only about 4 months but the effect lingers on ..artist dais was the next venue to be but couldnt really compare to the hipness of morrissey bar. it was like the club dredd of cebu or can be compared to CBGB of new york..imagine that..

Morrrissey was kinda elitist hehehe no offense meant. i always wore my Joy Division shirt when i go there...

ha,, really was it elitist at morrissey shucks ,, mao ba i guess i was so caught up with the music i didnt quite notice it at all..tingali u hav a valid point on that i guess i need to look at the other using another prism, im pretty skewed up now since i am with the corporate world things perspective change but the rockers rule, there is never a band unlike them ever since that made justice to jesus and marychain.. by the way whatever happened to the spirals ? you have info on that band and to that dapper vocals of theirs named Alex or was it louell? do tell..

naapil ko naduklan sa pulis kadtung gi raid ang morissey. si morbai dali ra kaayo naka iskapo.

nasuko ug samot ang pulis samtang gi kapkapan ko duol sa billard table kay ang salida sa tv WOWOW.

para nako best place tu...way makalupig.

didto pud mi magtapok mga lobby boys sa tc....and yes....and red horse nila...wa lay lami tu ilang sisig. sagolan ug sarsa ni mang tomas.

ang first joint nga gitukaran sa razorback diri sa cebu, night before sinulog (1995 i think).

didto pud ko kita nga si sodom pwerting hubuga hehehe.

ug kadtung cr sa ubos...daghan evil nga nahitabo didto

for me...ang crowd didto lahi jud....yes maybe we can consider na elitist ang joint....but dili kanang mga sosyal/sosyalan/sosyal climber makita nimo during disco2x hehehe....but elitist in terms of musical preference.

i was able to go to Artist Dais.. Haay memories... I didn't know anybody there but i went there just to watch my crush... From SATI... hahaha.. I have to drag my DTM-Mi Vida-Bai-friends tungod lang atong tawhana. wahahah...
