I don't know pero I have been using R Language for already 1 year. Napugos ko og gamit sa R language pra himo og reports.
Lisod gyud ang R at first pero once maanad naka sa syntax then dali mag progress sa advance applications.

packages that i normally used...
data manipulation : dplyr , tidyr , lubridate
data visualisation: ggplot2 , ggvis , plotly , lattice

kung mag machine learning...

unfortunately..that company was closed and i was sent back home diri sa cebu. ..harsh realities of employment.
if naa interesado mo kat.on og R prog diri especially kadto nag work sa data science field. I will help you....PM lang.
I consider R as only a tool...my background is in engineering not CS , mathematics or stats..

I always have thought that it's two different things simply. Are you agree with me here or not ? If so let me describe all that or describe that all by yourself anyway. What we can do here no matter what ? With which way you now virtualize data if not with excel anyway.
