Hello,
I am just wondering if there are business application programmers in Cebu who still uses Microsoft Access?
Hello,

@cmontoya: yes, naa pa intawn. simple systems lang... like gamay na inventory system, payroll for small companies....
You can use Access for frontend (end-user interface) and SQL DBMS for backend.
naay pay daghan bay, Access is a powerful tool if you know how to use it..... the only problem is that it cannot be a stand-alone application... platform dependednt (MS Office)...
how about interbase backend kinsa man nag gamit
mas cheaper man ang interbase....
what do you think?
yah! MSACCESS lng f dili jud kaayo dako ang company and ilang datas dili kaayo daghan..
yup if you expect a huge amount of data consider using SQL server as your back end... for front end... pwede ra sad access...
You can also use Oracle 10g Express Edition. It is free to download, distribute, develop, and deploy. I believe it is better than an Access or MSDE database in many ways like it allows a database size of up to 4GB for user data while Access and MSDE allows for only 2GB. Read more about here bro:
