Question About intel NUC/mini-PC/small form factor PC

can anybody tell me a decent list of perks and drawbacks of having an intel NUC/mini-pc vs a low-end pc setup?
I am looking at a cost-efficient option for a small business setup and was wondering if these things might do the job.

things I am looking at would be:
    - total cost setup and maintenance
    - veco-friendly billings
    - office use and lightweight applications (about 50 intranet users)
    - intranet P2P
    - lifespan (ssd/hdd storage setup)

would you advise these products for lightweight usage? I mean, given the general cleaning and the frequent bust of low end PSU on desktop PCs, how safe and practical are these things in an office setup?

anybody care to share some personal experience with these machines?

One component you would not want to cheapen out is your PSU. Get a good quality PSU.

well, yeah that is what you'd really expect. always get a good PSU. however, budget constraints will tell you unit performance will be sacrificed. I hade some tier 2 that gave up on me 3 years down service so I can't say all are made the same. And cleaning/maintenance is just a killer.

how does it fair with the power consumption over a mini pc(in practicality)?

kuan siya boss, wala ni nako giconsider ang stick tungod ako previous experience sa intel gen2 units. frequent hangup/non-stable connection og hinay thermal dissipation. dli nako marecommend para mga usage sa opisina. sa karon pwede ni for non-crit nga use like streaming media center and remote location ads ok kau.although naa ko ani for on-the-go usage esp inig biz trip sa gawas mahal man gud mga ms tablets like surface pro.hehe

mao lagi boss. gen2 (generation 2 - atom x5) intel stick. mao ni latest ron although naa core M and x7. as for the reviews, yup. read, bought, and was a user. ako comment about sa performance naa sa ako gpost esp about sa temps. I'd say I would rather shed extra cash for an asus transformer kung mobility lang ato hisgotan. personal thought would be - give it a couple more years sa improvement and would recommend it.but for now, dli ko convinced sa overall performance with sticks sa ipagamit.

anyway. as mentioned sa thread, mini-pc in comparison with low end pc setup lang ato storyaan. much better if naa maka compare with long term usage unta.
maybe stick pcs would be on another thread or if naa man guro existing.
