Cheap/Affordable Medical Schools?

Hi guys,

Just want to ask if unsay kina baratuhan nga Med school sa Cebu. I'm a currently working in a hospital as a Nurse and would like to proceed if kaya. And if maayo dli lng CIM kay grabeh kay na ka lisud gyud. Im an average guy and hoping nay chance mahimog doctor.

SWU and MHAM has the cheapest fees but then you know what Im thinking and we need not speak about Gullas. However, CIM offers scholarships to qualified students and offers great training in Medicine proper. But mind you, you have to provide service for two years every granted scholarship year, so that means 8 years all in all. Pero wala ko kahibaw if pwede ba na tingbon or every year gyud.

PS: If your age is not beyond 25 yrs old, chances are you will be granted a scholarship. If you go into Medicine, PLEASE, get the best training you can get as much as possible, much better if you can have your residency training and fellowship training abroad before private practice. Do not settle for less kay you will be dealing with lives when already in practice. Daghan doctors di kamao or kulang2 ang nahibaw.an specially outside the metropolitan.

I'm 25 mo 26 na this year. Is mham and swu different? Having troubles ani nila kay mo direct sa swu ig search sa net. Um unsa issue sa Gullas by the way?

There are no issues btw, only the partially lax environment although ingun sila everyday ang test sa SWU but then written exams do not define the type of training you have. Soon when you reach your clerkship until PGI you will notice the difference between CIM and the rest of them.

If you want to proceed for money, think again sir. Most doctors are earning 'office salaries' specially those who are locally trained lang although some reached the peak of their career, majority of them settled for moonlighting while being employed in an institution, i.e., hospital, company, NGOs, school physicians etc. Look around every hospital, take notice with the junior and senior consultants most of them have multiple clinics and they are trained, though locally but extensively in PGH, LCP, PHC, UERMMC, PNA ,etc. A few of them settled for a single clinic but then they are the gods so to speak.

Anyway, we also cannot deny the fact that many doctors are well paid even with 'office salaries' so that's a great motivation to proceed. Another way for lesser expenses and with equivalent asset is to take up a Master's Degree in Nursing, at the same time, take up 18 units of non-formal professional education, pass the LET and then by that time you can demand higher pay. But then again, lahi gyud if naa kay MD attached in your name hehe

So let it be sir, if mag med ka explode to be the best whatever school you plan to enroll. hehe

Ang pinakacheap sa tuition fee is swu cm, i think 120k/yr or almost 130 ba, tbc, hehe next is mham & uc @ 159k, cim 162k, gullas 169k, cdu 194k. Last yr ni 1st yr.

actually pareha ra mham and swu. nag interchange ra ang mga proctors nila. still haven't decided yet? better try scholarship sa CIM. of all med schools in the visayas and mindanao region, this is undeniably the best in training.
