...hhhmmm...I'm not sure if you'll install a 8x videocard to a 4x AGP slot...You are forcing the videocard to downgrade the DTR. Might be in the middle you'll get some problems with that. It is better to take note that your AGP slot is only capable at 4x then you must buy also same speed with that.

video card that has 8x speed(AGP) are backward compatible.
-it is very rare that it will not work.

i had a p4s-533mx (4x - agp) mobo paired w/ inno3d mx440 and 9800 pro radeon both 8x speed works w/ it. no problem or anything, didnt even bother to update the bios since it worked very well. and by the way, you're not downgrading the speed of your agp, you do have the option to change the agp speed.

You're still downgrading bro vladmire. An 8x videocard speed then you change it to 4x speed then that's considered as downgrade already.

About the 4x and the 8x you have there. I guess I agree with that. It seems this is one disadvantage sa akin co'z until now I'm still using an integrated videocard.

all ATi and Nvidia grafix cards for PCI-E x16 always have an x8 AGP equivalents or technology

you can purchase a FX series nvidia card instead of Ti series.
