Default Evidence of a real ninth planet discovered

Researchers have found evidence of a giant planet tracing a bizarre, highly elongated orbit in the outer solar system. The object, which the researchers have nicknamed Planet Nine, has a mass about 10 times that of Earth and orbits about 20 times farther from the sun on average than does Neptune (which orbits the sun at an average distance of 2.8 billion miles). In fact, it would take this new planet between 10,000 and 20,000 years to make just one full orbit around the sun.

I was wondering if this is what they called the Planet X or the Nibiru....

this got me interested that i had to look things up. i found conflicting stuff. there are sites that call nibiru the tenth planet (planet x) and then there's a forum that states it is actually the ninth. then there's another one that says it's the twelfth in the solar system. but what was commonly mentioned was that if this particular planet gets close to earth, it may cause shifting of the earth's magnetic poles, which results to global, let's just say, happenings...

Let x be the name of a planet beyond Neptune.

They found Pluto, Planet X became a name for hypothetical planets beyond Pluto. But Pluto got demoted so it's back to the planets beyond Neptune.

since Pluto was no longer considered a planet, that leaves us only 8 official planets sa atong solar system, hence now the ninth planet..

    Planet X is not a name, it's a designation. X is not a number.

OT: i remember pluto well as this was the pod i was in when i was in grade 7. that pluto demotion caused quite a stir and made some people angry.

anyway, i was wondering about the disunity in the information i found: 9, 10, 12.. i thought at first shouldn't it be 'standardized' already? but then i really don't know anything. haha.. and so, the search is on..

The six most distant known objects in the Solar System with orbits exclusively beyond Neptune (magenta) all line up in a single direction. Why? Drs Brown and Batygin argue that this is because a massive planet (orange) is anti-aligned with these objects. Can telescopes now find this planet? Could the evidence already be in observational data but no-one has yet recognised it? The hunt is on.
